By accepting our quotation, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
A 50% deposit is required 10 days before work commences. Any amount paid upfront will be deducted from the final invoice.
The final balance is due within 24 hours of completion. Payment is accepted by bank transfer only.
If the deposit is not received by the required date, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the booking without liability.
For supply and fit installations, a 50% deposit is required on booking.
For supply-only orders, full payment is required before goods are released.
Any overdue balance may accrue interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, plus reasonable recovery costs, in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Deposits secure your booking and allow us to allocate labour and procure materials.
If you cancel or reschedule within 72 hours of the scheduled start date, we may retain up to 20% of the total job value to cover overheads and lost business.
If we are able to rebook the cancelled slot, a full refund will be issued.
The client must ensure clear, uninterrupted access to the work area and that the site is ready for works to commence.
Delays caused by restricted access, unfinished works by other trades, or unsuitable site conditions may result in additional charges or rescheduling.
The client must ensure suitable parking is available for our vehicle(s) for the duration of the works.
If parking permits or paid parking are required, the client is responsible for arranging these in advance or covering associated costs.
We take care when working around painted surfaces, skirting boards, architraves, and trims. However, sanding and finishing works may result in scuffs, marks, or damage to existing paintwork.
We strongly recommend that final painting and decorating are carried out after our works are completed. Where this is not practical, the client accepts the risk of damage to existing finishes.
Masking tape is applied with care using professional low-tack products. We are not responsible for paint lifting, peeling, or delamination caused by masking, including where paint has poor adhesion, is aged, or has been recently applied.
Any repainting or decorative touch-ups remain the client’s responsibility.
We use professional dust extraction systems to minimise airborne dust. However, some dust leakage (approximately 5–10%) may occur, particularly on uneven floors or during edging and detailing.
This should not cause damage to furnishings or décor.
Fillers may loosen or crack due to natural expansion, contraction, or subfloor movement. This may occur days or years after completion and is not covered under warranty.
Moisture changes can cause timber floors to expand, contract, or buckle. These conditions are outside our control.
Exact colour matching of fillers is not guaranteed.
We will refit loose parquet blocks or boards where reasonably possible.
Underlying issues such as brittle bitumen, inadequate fixings, damp, or rotten joists may prevent a secure repair. These issues are not covered under warranty.
Any additional remedial work will be discussed and charged separately.
We stock reclaimed timber boards. Replacement boards are available at £80 per 100cm fitted.
An exact match cannot be guaranteed.
Sanding flattens surfaces. Machined textures, bevels, and V-grooves will be reduced or removed.
Where grooves sit below the sandable surface, traces of the original finish may remain.
Where possible, we assess wear layer thickness before sanding.
If sanding exposes ply, tongue, or structural elements due to insufficient wear layer, we are not liable for replacement.
We are not responsible for defects concealed beneath existing floor coverings, finishes, adhesives, or subfloors.
Discovery of hidden defects may require additional work at extra cost.
We carry out restoration with reasonable care and skill.
Certain issues, including tannin staining, chemical reactions, efflorescence, or historic contamination, may only become visible during works. We cannot be held responsible for their impact on the final appearance.
Any concerns must be reported within 24 hours of completion.
All snags must be listed in advance of our return visit. Additional items cannot be added during or after that visit.
You may withhold a reasonable proportion of the final payment until agreed snags are resolved.
All furniture must be removed prior to our arrival unless otherwise agreed in writing.
While we take care, we are not responsible for damage when handling client belongings.
Carpets, gripper rods, and staples must be removed before our arrival unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We recommend removal at least one week prior to allow unforeseen issues to be identified.
We accept no responsibility for the quality, suitability, or performance of materials supplied by the client.
We dispose of routine work-related waste generated by our activities, such as sanding dust, abrasives, and empty product containers, via a licensed Environmental Health-approved waste carrier, at no additional charge.
Removal and disposal of existing floor coverings, including but not limited to carpets, underlay, gripper rods, adhesive residues, plywood, screed, or bulk timber waste, is not included unless expressly stated in the quotation.
Where required, such removal and disposal will be priced separately and agreed in advance.
Any work not expressly included in the accepted quotation is deemed a variation.
Where additional works are identified, we will explain the reason, provide a price or rate where practical, and obtain approval before proceeding, unless the work is required to make the site safe or prevent damage.
Variations may extend the programme and will be charged in addition to the original quotation.
Verbal approval, written confirmation, or continued instruction to proceed will be treated as acceptance of the variation.
No warranty is provided beyond statutory obligations. Floor wear and performance depend on use, environment, and maintenance.
Sample patches help set expectations and estimate material usage.
As timber is a natural product, variation will occur. Approval by you, or someone we reasonably believe is acting on your behalf, confirms acceptance.
Subsequent changes may incur additional charges for materials and labour.
We may take photographs before, during, and after works for records and marketing purposes.
By accepting the quotation, you grant permission for their use.
Out-of-schedule call-outs are charged at £120 inc. VAT, plus £100 inc. VAT per hour thereafter, plus materials.
Our standard hourly rate is £100 inc. VAT.
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, illness, supply shortages, or utility outages.
Our liability is limited to the value of the works carried out.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use or loss of earnings.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
